High School Math Teacher

Purpose of Position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to temporarily fill the position of High School Math Teacher for a duration of one year. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mathematics and pedagogy, with the ability to effectively teach a range of courses including pre-algebra, geometry, and calculus. This educator will be teaching students in grades 8-12th, with class sizes of 4-12 students.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and rigorous lessons that cater to a diverse range of student abilities and learning styles.

  • Develop and implement a curriculum aligned with state standards and the school's educational objectives.

  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to enhance student understanding and engagement.

  • Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to support student growth.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and academic success.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and strategies for enhancing mathematics instruction.

Communicate regularly with students, parents, and administrators regarding student progress, academic concerns, and classroom activities

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

  • In the process of getting a teaching certification or credential in secondary mathematics, it is acceptable.

  • Prior experience teaching high school mathematics, preferably in pre-algebra, geometry, and calculus.

  • Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and principles across multiple levels of proficiency.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.

  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues to meet the diverse needs of students.

  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes equity.

Humanities and ELA Middle School Teacher

Purpose of Position
 

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative educator to join our team as a 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Humanities and ELA teacher. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching middle school students and a deep understanding of the Humanities and ELA curriculum.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement lesson plans that align with research based standards for Humanities and ELA.

  • Design and administer assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.

  • Provide feedback and support to students to help them reach their academic goals.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the diverse learning needs of all students.

  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.

  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and any concerns.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

  • Valid teaching certification in ELA

  • Familiarity with educational standards for Social Studies and ELA

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff

  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
