Physical Education at Kansas City Academy

Physical Education

At Kansas City Academy we offer a unique approach to physical education. Cross Fit trainer and PE teacher, Dana Davenport, strives to push students to their best health and fitness. Students are able to utilize their surroundings by going on bike rides, walking to a local park, or by having intense school-wide ping pong tournaments.

Kyle's Story

When Kyle graduated from KCA in 2015, he was smaller than when he began KCA in Middle School. Dana, KCA's PE teacher, inspired Kyle to find an exercise routine that worked for him. Kyle's dedication to physical activity, combined with nutrtion education from Mark, KCA's Chef and Nutrtion Instructor, demonstrates what can happen when a student is empowered to make their own choices.

Hear from Kyle

Along with losing weight, it [Cross Fit] helped me with confidence. I learned how to talk to people better. I learned how to listen and focus better.
