Melissa Riebe

HS Humanities

Melissa Riebe teaches history and literature at KCA. She received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Kansas and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is completing her PhD in History and English at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she has taught courses in American and World History, Public Speaking, and Writing since 2010.

Melissa joined KCA in 2015.

Fun Facts: Melissa is working on her doctoral dissertation on the impact of sailors’ wives on the British Royal Navy in the 1800s. Beyond that, she is simply crazy about all things pirate.
