Adam teaches middle and high school science at KCA. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Earth Science from Wesleyan University in 1992, an MS in 1996 and a Ph.D. in Geological Sciences in 2000 from Northwestern University. Adam quickly discovered that he enjoys teaching so much that he abandoned the academic path to teach high school science, which he did at the Millbrook School in New York. In 2002, he moved to Kansas City with his family where he taught online courses for the University of Phoenix and Northwestern University. When he discovered KCA, he toured it, loved it, and spent two years volunteering in science classes prior to becoming a teacher here in 2014.
Adam joined KCA in 2015.
